Members of Congress stand with child care providers and parents

Members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and other Members of Congress – alongside child care providers and parents – announced a bold new plan on July 28 to ensure high-quality, affordable, and accessible child care for every American family and a strong child care workforce.

In front of the Capitol building, the group announced plans to take their proposals, including calls for $15 and a union for child care workers, to families in cities in red and blue states nationwide. They will convene town halls, roundtables, and actions to discuss policy recommendations for a stronger child care system in Richmond, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New Haven, and beyond.
