Child care lobby day in Sacramento

The Raising California Together Coalition brought child care to the Capitol on August 19.

Family child care providers and parents made a series of visits to their elected officials to discuss the importance of SB548 (the Raising Child Care Quality and Accessibility Act). This bill would give child care providers a voice on the job to advocate for better wages and higher quality programs and to strengthen the child care system in California.

Senate President Pro Tempore Kevin de León joined the event to declare SB548 a legislative priority for the remainder of the legislative session and to call for Governor Brown’s signature on the bill.
